The Beverly Hills Hotel was the venue for Event Power LA’s first large-scale private event since Covid-19 policies made such festive gatherings impossible. Our being thrilled to design, plan, and manage this event was only eclipsed by the 50 attendees’ sheer joy of reconnecting with friends they hadn’t seen in more than a year.
The outdoor area located on the hotel grounds is a large, tented area originally built to manage overflow from the famous Polo Lounge whilst indoor seating was not permitted. This venue on the hotel grounds was a great source of inspiration for our ultimate contribution.
Lush foliage dominated by banana leaf trees surrounding the area covered by a tent featuring the green and white stripes for which The Beverly Hills Hotel is well known, provided the perfect canvas for our floral and décor design expertise.
Pedestal Hanging candles Floral waterfall
Our design goal was to create a lighthearted, summer feel overflowing with the same elegance for which the hotel is famous. Sister company Flower Power LA created a soft, sensual, and intimate space using 10-foot candle walls finished with white Voile fabric framing the banquettes in the tent. Ambient light as well as pillar candles both on the tables and on beautiful gold geometric pieces suspended from the tents ceiling finished the subtle glow.
As we pride ourselves on never doing the same thing twice it was important that all tables not simply host the same centerpiece. To that end, we provided three different centerpieces.
Atop gold pedestals we placed centerpieces featuring vibrant florals and lush greens. More candles were arranged underneath the pedestal.
Three, large geometric sculptures hosting an arrangement of candles were hung from the ceiling tent and over centerpieces.
Our favorite, the piece de resistance, was a floral “waterfall” that flowed from the center of the booth tables to the floor in front of each booth table.

Music highlighting everything from acoustic Bruce Springsteen to Frank Sinatra flowed from the moment guests arrived and were greeted with flutes of champagne to the end of festivities. It appeared none of the guests wanted the evening to end. However, end it did, with Event Power LA donating the still beautiful florals to the Beverly Hills Police and Fire Departments.
We were absolutely thrilled with the outcome and truly humbled when our client said, “Event Power completely exceeded my expectations.” A hotel representative shared, “I’ve never seen anything like this done with this space. It’s beautiful.”
